Summary of the Song
In this song Sri Avudai Akkal declares that even for the wise, who has
recognized the Truth and abides in and as that Truth, Prarbdha karma (portion
of the karma (action) that determines the present life situation) will continue
until this body dies away. The implied
meaning is, unlike the ignorant, the wise remains unaffected by the Prarbdha. The wise simply performs the action without the
notion of either the doer or the enjoyer.
- Even if I abide as that (Supreme being) is it possible to get relieved from the Prarbdha (portion of Karma (action) that determines the present life situation)?
- Even if this jeeva gets liberated, the karma will continue to exhaust itself until this body dies away
- Some examples of Prarabdha
- The sun continues to rise every day
- Maha Vishnu has to take birth and undergoes turmoil during his several divine incarnations
- Shiva had went begging (Bhikshatana-murti)
- Prarbdha will continue even if

- The attention is on the reality (Consciousness, Self) at all times and all places
- Uttering daily that this world is illusion
- Fixing the mind at the feet of Supreme Guru with devotion
- Without getting caught in bewilderment due to the absence of desire and anger
- Even with the grace of His Holiness Guru Venkatesar
- Even while rejoicing that this world is temporal
- Even while abiding in the boundless Self Empire
