Even if this jeeva (individuality) gets liberated, the karma (action) will continue to exhaust itself

Summary of the Song
In this song Sri Avudai Akkal declares that even for the wise, who has recognized the Truth and abides in and as that Truth, Prarbdha karma (portion of the karma (action) that determines the present life situation) will continue until this body dies away.  The implied meaning is, unlike the ignorant, the wise remains unaffected by the Prarbdha.  The wise simply performs the action without the notion of either the doer or the enjoyer.
  • Even if I abide as that (Supreme being) is it possible to get relieved from the Prarbdha (portion of Karma (action) that determines the present life situation)?
  • Even if this jeeva gets liberated, the karma will continue to exhaust itself until this body dies away
  • Some examples of Prarabdha
    • The sun continues to rise every day
    • Maha Vishnu has to take birth and undergoes turmoil during his several divine incarnations
    • Shiva had went begging (Bhikshatana-murti)
  • Prarbdha will continue even if
    • (There is a) Association with the spiritual wise, every day
    • The attention is on the reality (Consciousness, Self) at all times and all places
    • Uttering daily that this world is illusion
    • Fixing the mind at the feet of Supreme Guru with devotion
    • Without getting caught in bewilderment due to the absence of desire and anger
    • Even with the grace of His Holiness Guru Venkatesar
    • Even while rejoicing that this world is temporal
    • Even while abiding in the boundless Self Empire

paramay agam endru irunthaalum praapdham pattal ozhiya vidumoa
Even if I abide as that (Supreme being) is it possible to get relieved from the Prarbdha (portion of Karma (action) that determines the present life situation)?

jeevan mukthi adainthu irunthaalum thegam pogum thanaiyum karmam pusithu androa kazhiyum
Even if this jeeva gets liberated, the karma will continue to exhaust itself until this body dies away

Guru will liberate me

Summary of the Song
This song is in praise of Akkal’s Guru Tiruvisainallu Sridhara Venkatasa Ayyawal.
  • Won’t He (Guru) come, see me and liberate me?
  • He won’t let (me) to associate with anxious mind which drags me down to miserable times.
  • He pulverizes the illusion into powdered dust.  He eradicates the discrete existence perceived by the disciple and make the disciple to recognize that he is the boundless expansiveness
  • The disciple who is devoted to him (who is the non-dual oneness) can use him as the means for liberation.
  • With his grace, there is no rebirth for the disciple.
  • He is the Lord, Self-Illuminated, Brahman, my guru called by the name Venkateswarar

vaaraaroa? ennaippaaraaroa?
Won’t he come?   Won’t he see me?
mukthi thaaraaroa?  en swami
Won’t my Lord liberate me?
aaraar ulllam thannil saeraar
He won’t let (me) to associate with the anxious mind
ulgu engum kooragiyae nindra nooru aayiram kanangal
The anxious mind perceives the world as multiple parts and as a result I got stranded in miserable time.  Each moment seemed to be hundreds and thousands of moments.

sanda marutham poalae andam podi thoolaakki
Like a hurricane he pulverized the world into powdered dust
vanda maayaiyai avar vinda vimala boadhar
He, the holy awakened person, has separated (me) from the mire illusion
thondar manathil nindru kanda bhavam aruthu
(He) lives in the disciples mind and eradicates the perception of discrete existence
agandaa anubhavaththai vindae vakkugal kondu
Through (his) teachings, enables (the disciple) to experience the boundless expansiveness

saththu siththu aanandha athvaithiyae ivar
He is the absolute existence, consciousness and bliss and non-dual
oruthar ethir illatha vasthu ivar
The one who doesn’t have a second in his experience
endru bhakthi saithavar jeevan mukthi adaya
The seeker who worships him as described above gets liberated
nalla saththiyamaai ivar mukthisaathanam kondu
He is the absolute truth and the disciple can use him as the means for liberation

saththu siththu aanandhar abharichchinna arulinaalae
He is the absolute existence, consciousness and bliss.  With his immense grace
eesaray ivarkkoru naasap piravi illai
Oh Lord! There is no more dreadful death and birth (for the disciple)
eesar avar svapragaasar en guru
He is the Lord! He is self-illuminated and my Guru
brahma venkataesuvarar ingae
He is the Brahman itself,  here He is called by the name Venkateswarar
